Hello.

In 2021, I started JC Hobby, streaming video games to make a living and connect with others. Through community-building and discussions with families and young adults, we recognized the significance of connecting with like-minded individuals in today's society. My journey has led to 5,000 Facebook followers and a News Channel Nebraska feature.

 

Today, providing opportunities for young people to gather and share interests is crucial. While excessive screen time can be a concern, a well-designed environment can promote friendship formation, limit screen time, and support individuals in leaving their homes.

In 2023, I decided it was time to work towards opening a one-of-a-kind brick-and-mortar store in our Nebraska town, unlike anything it had seen before. Originally intended solely as a gaming center, it grew to also support the trading card community, which had no place to gather. I ultimately decided to transform it into a hobby shop for the whole community, with activities like painting, chess club, knitting, and more, so that everyone could find something appealing. Combining rummy, bingo, kids' events, video games, and board games creates a space with year-round affordable entertainment for all ages!
